Beautiful Blonde bear PICS & VID
« on: September 08, 2008, 12:29:08 PM »
Well I finally got the perfect colored bear that Ive been looking for to do a full body mount on.  We spotted her about 2000 yards out and could tell right away that this was a bear we wanted to take.  She looked like a silver back grizz while out sunning in the morning glow.  She was up in the rocks looking for insects and eating grass.  Well about about an hour and 1200 ft elevation gain we were closeing in on her.  The wind was bad so the stock was nerve racking.  Finally we got to our determend shooting point peak over the edge and there she was still feeding in the same spot we had seen her at previously.  We took a few minutes to set the camera up on the steep hillside and settle in for the shot and let her have it.  I took a high shoulder shot and that were the bullet landed and a flying she went.  Follow up with a quick finishing shot and the work began.  After quartering her and packing her down the rocky, blueberry shale ridding mountain side I had two new blisters on each of my feet and some sore quads.  My hunting partner thankfully helped me out and hauled the pack up the last 1/4 mile haul and we were down.  The bear has the most beautiful blonde mane down her back, red feet and head a truly amazing looking black bear.  The pictures turned out great, just waiting to get the camera from my hunting partner then Ill post them.  But in the mean time heres the kill footage, pictures to follow.  Looks like Im done bearhunting for the year now, with both tags filled on two great bears.  Enjoy

You definitely chose the correct screen name, nice video and bear. I think you have mentioned it before but what video camera are you using?
