I have the Mountain pants and love them. They are a much better fit (athletic fit) than the KUIU that I have and seem to be holding up well. Considering another pair of these.

Great stuff. I've worn it for the last 4 years with no complaints. From early muzzy hunts in WA to September Wyoming High Country, late November hunts in Montana, Idaho, and Colorado.

Federal Way Wholesale Sports had all their Sitka 30% off. Had some Jetstream jackets, Ascent pants, 90% jackets and some Kelvin jackets.

so how would the 90% jacket do in december-feb weather with just a core crew t-shirt, 1/4 zip longsleeve, and some sort of vest?

They were sitting in the archery shops drinking coffee all day.
I like Sitka gear, but have never paid full price. The stuff always goes on sale in Jan-Feb right before they come out with the nexts years new pattern.

When I am active, I wear a core 1/4 zip t , a traverse 1/4 zip t and either a jetstream vest or a celcius vest. This keep me at just the right temp and I can adjust my "core temp" by zipping/unzipping the trio. I don't even wear my 90% jacket anymore as I prefer the Jetstream if I need a jacket.

In the 4th pic down, it was about 18 degrees when I killed that deer and I am wearing the traverse and core zip t's and a jetstream vest. The wind wasn't blowing and the sun was warm, so that has an effect too.
I really only wear a jacket when I sit down to glass, it's super cold, and the wind is howling (seems to be always blowing in November!)

Im just wondering because im only going to be able to afford 1 jacket to do all. And the 90% is about the price limit.

great post. I was also going to post but since somebody best me to it I'll add on. My lovely wife bought me the core base set, extra core shirt, traverse zip shirt, med weight traverse base layer plus hat and gloves. I tried on today the mountain, 90 percent, 90 percent pant lite with suspenders, ascent pants. I was leaning toward mountain or 90 percent. Which one to buy? for those that have the mountain are the built in knee pads an added benefit. I'm in Idaho as mentioned sportsmen having a sale. was going to pick up something. I mainly do early archery hunts. Other thoughts ?

I have the mt pants and the knee pads and they are removable. So best of both worlds. I love my mt pants. I wouldnt go to the 90% . If i did anything it would be the timberline pant, but it is not necessary for just the waterproof butt and knees in my opinion.
