Bird Hunting Partner
«

I know I don't post a lot on here and it is mostly due to lack of time. I would like to find some hunting partners that can help me find all the Western Washington has to offer. I really enjoy Grouse and Chukar hunting. I haven't hunted anything to much but game for anything. I am more than willing to split any cost and know how hard earned hunting spots are. The point wear I suck as a hunting partner is lack of experience, knowledge and most important I am a business owner, so sometimes I have to cancel. Which totally sucks I know but I have a lot of people counting on me and 20 years of hard work at steak. Also why I am not asking for big game partners as this takes a much more serious commitment.
What I do offer is a Truck, boat and some gear. I don't have a bird dog and want one real bad but really cant spend enough time to be fair to the dog yet. I am funny if you appreciate fat guys with a dry sense of humor. I am a big overweight guy and a poor shot. I will most likely boost your ego. But I don't mind working hard and my chukar hunts on average are about 7 miles of walking. I have a couple of chukar spots were I get at least 10 shots a day and would be happy to share them. I also have a couple of grouse spots where I hear 8 to 15 flushes a day.
I am a good fisherman and could trade some steelhead and salmon knowledge.
I would like to get in with some guys that like to mix it up and go for grouse, ducks, pheasants and chukar. I know what I have found this year spending over a hundred hours alone in the field this year is. That I am not as good as I would like to think I am. I can't jump the birds alone most of the time. And these long road trips would be better spent getting to know another outdoor enthusiasts and about their lives and family.
Anyways as awkward as this is for me I hope that someone responds and wants to go bird hunting and find some adventure in the winter.
I am ready to go most weekends and some weekdays. PM me if you have some questions or ideas.
I am going grouse flushing tomorrow hopefully I will get that rare open shot. If not I will have fun getting wet and tangled in some kind of sticker bush and listening to grouse flushing just out of sight.

Hello!
I might not be the best option since I'm pretty new to hunting myself, but I'm always looking for people to go out hunting with! I'd love to get in to salmon and steelhead fishing, and I keep hearing that grouse are tasty but I've never had a chance to try one! I'm also hopelessly addicted to duck hunting

Joe,
I'm interested in Chukar hunting. I have a real nice bird dog, but haven't been Chukar hunting because I haven't been able to find a partner willing to put the hard work into getting up high. And I'm a little leary of going solo.
If interested in getting out for the last few weekends, give me a shout!

I send you a PM
Lets go. Hard work is right 6 to 8 miles in chukar country is enough to turn back most folks from trip 2.
Went grouse hunting again today but no luck this time. I did find some bear poop with plum pits. I think I found a late season bear for next year. I also found a monster cougar pile buried like a house cat would.
I have a green smoker craft boat that is itching to go Duck hunting with someone that knows what to do.

Hey Joe,
I'm always up for some grouse hunting, or any kind of hunting adventure. Havent done any duck hunting, have wanted to though. You mentioned a possible bear spot, do you anticipate hunting any big game this coming year? Give me a holler if interested in another hunting partner this coming year. Also dying to get out and go get some salmon and steelies...

Tradbowhunter I sent you a pm. I hunt or fish year round. As far as hunting big yes I am excellent bear poop finder. I have yet to see one bear though. I learned a lot last year so maybe this will be my year.
Turkey is my next adventure as I have never been. My plan is to kill them with my bad calls. My family seems to think this is possible.
