3 for 3 today
« on: December 15, 2012, 08:35:40 PM »
First stand called in a double. They hung back aways. Finially the dumber of the two came in for a closer look. Roughly a 200 yard shot.

Second stand saw a yote coming in right away. It circled around and came in downwind, I tried to wait to move my rifle while it was behind some brush. No dice, picked up my movement. BUSTED!

Third stand was my first double. The first one came right in with the wind at it's back and ran right up to my caller. Barked it to a stop at about 40 yards. Second one came in to pup distress and hung back a little. shot it at about 100 yards.

After that I called it a day. Figured three yotes in three stands was going to be tough to top. Here they are together, posted them in the contest.

.243 Fedral 80gr. soft point. Not fur friendly. :chuckle:  Went to the range today, sighted back in with Hornady Superformance 58gr. Vmax. Shoots much tighter groups with the lighter loads. They usually don't exit.
