« on: December 10, 2012, 09:09:00 AM »
Hey I was trying to find out if there is a boat launch that is open to public between usk and newport? I only know of the one at the bridge and the one north of Newport. Thanks

There is a launch at Davis Rd... off the hwy take pintail or mallard rd and go left.  It's easy to find.  it won't get plowed out, so when the snow gets deep it shuts down...

There are a couple on the other side of the river.  Greggs rd, and one just north of it... Ponderay shores I think...

There's one within a half mile of Dalkena. I just looked at the WA gazeteer and it is only about 5 miles to Dalkena from Usk I have used that ramp in winter (Usk) and it was OK. Our friend has a cabin between those launches and there is a ramp there that isn't on the map.
