Missing the old times
« on: January 07, 2013, 10:20:16 PM »
It's not normally like me but today was "one of those days". Can't help but miss the old times my grandpa always talked about where people treated everyone with respect, did things just to be neighborly or nice, and service meant doing the right thing because you were a fellow human.

Feels like the world is just going mad around me. People are freaking out because honest people want to carry a firearm to protect themselves against criminals.

Simple courtesy around the office has all but been lost and it doesn't matter what a person does anymore it just isn't enough.

Feels like America has the horse turned backwards and the cart is facing the wrong direction.

Okay, I feel better now and will stop  :'(

Plenty of people still like that in the world. They just aren't the ones you hear about. I've had plenty of days like you're saying though.

The world breaks everyone and afterward many are strong in the broken places. But those that will not break it kills. It kills the very good and the very gentle and the very brave impartially. If you are none of these you can be sure it will kill you too but there will be no special hurry.
