maybe correct me but did not at least a few members on here state that Obama and the Dems were not going to pursue a ban and/or confiscation of firearms before the election?

That's the way I remember it.  :chuckle:
:chuckle:

Unfortunately, that president of theirs, during debate #2 made the statements "My belief is that we have to enforce the laws we've already got, make sure that we're keeping guns out of the hands of criminals, those who are mentally ill" .....and..... "Part of it is seeing if we can get an assault weapons ban reintroduced. But part of it is also looking at other sources of the violence."

Those few members were living in denial. what a surprise!

Kings historically only stayed in power as long as they had the money to pay their many mercenaries.  Obama has no money to pay mercenaries....not for long anyway.  And the mercenaries are going to demand a high salary when they see what a dangerous occupation it is!  :chuckle:

Feinstein the senator from an economically failed state overrun by illegals and libs. Bet the avg joe in Cali is glad to have a gun.  How has she retained a senate seat? A better arguement for term limits there is not.

I don't think it was me, but I agree they wouldn't have even really broached the subject of guns BEFORE the election.  Not in what was being predicted to be a close race.

As for a buyback, maybe Holder should try buying some of his back.

So we don't turn em in then what? Prison or is there still a 4th ammendment or is that gone too, since probable cause can be made up?
Nothing, under the 5th amendment you wouldn't do anything but keep them hidden.  Else it would be self incrimination.  Like if they wanted full registration, only the criminals are not required to go register.

Just posted that link along with the following statement to facebook.

Ugh just read this and am disgusted. I keep seeing/hearing a lot of "You don't need guns." or "You don't need this type of gun" or "You don't need that many guns."

To that I say guns are like car insurance. If you never get in an accident you could say you never needed it. If you get into an accident and don't have it, or don't have enough then it's too late though. Nobody knows when or if they will get in a car accident, and most sane people do not seek out accidents, but nobody has their motives questioned, or is called paranoid for carrying auto insurance.

Guns are our insurance policy against not just robbers, murderers, kidnappers and rapists, but against corrupt government officials who would strip us of our constitutional rights, and foreign powers who would like to enslave us. For those who are lucky enough to never be the victims of violent crime; sure you probably don't "need" a gun. Our government is not so bad right now, and nobody is trying to invade the US at the moment either, so God willing we will never "need" guns to defend our nation. Personally though I would rather have my guns and never need them, then find myself in need at some future date and not have them.

As much as I hate Harry Reid, he has kept a lot of anti-gun laws from ever coming to a vote on the senate floor. I do not believe any anti-gun law introduced in the senate will make it to the house.  The votes are not there. And there are a lot of liberals from conservative enough states up for reelection in 2014 that are not going to want to have to defend voting for an anti-gun law.
Welcome to liberal America, where the truth is condemned and facts are ignored so as not to "offend" anyone
