ya this sheit is serious business. two big differences between this time and last is this list is way bigger. and last time no real talk about registration, and confiscation. A lot of that talk if any was just a lot of hype with no real foundation. This time however there is a whole lot of talk comming from the gun grabbers this time. I seriously hope we don't sheeple this.

That was from November, I'm quite sure this is not the list.

some of that lingo there I beleive is too broad all guns could effectively be banned under this list an lanuage.
No kidding....most rifles I know of have threaded barrels.  They may mate with the receiver, but they would fall under that kind of language.  Even a muzzy is threaded to accept a breech plug.

Shotguns are threaded for chokes.  :bash: rifles are threaded for scope mounts and sights.
This is very bad.

There is a silver lining. The anti’s are overplaying their hand. There’s no way in hell that they can get all this passed, and every day that goes by closes that window a little more. I would have been more concerned if they only wanted to ban AK’s, AR’s and hi-cap magazines, but all this ambiguous language is going to send the bill into never never land for months, and by the time it’s all worked out, the people will have gotten bored of it.

Remember, proposed legislation is not adopted legislation. There is still hope.

If you purchased your rifle at a sporting good shop isn't it already registered?

No, I believe they have to keep the paper work for x amount of time but it isn't sent to any kind of agency other than a background check.

If someone here is an LEO please correct me if Im wrong.
I went on a ridealong with an officer a few years ago and when he ran the license plates on a vehicle it showed a record of firearms that person owned :o  we ran my name just for fun and IIRC it showed a pistol and AR that i had bought at gunshops....I certainly did not register those guns anywhere.

wow that's serious and you didn't register nothing huh? doesn't really surprise me though. as whats been said yes proposed is different and hope your right just don't feel that confident.
with their terminonlogy they are inherently ignoring the real reason for the second ammendment and only saying what is sporting.
From all my searches on feinstein biden gun bans etc... this is the universal language. So without dismantling the 2nd ammendment they are single handedly redefining it as we speak.
Were pretty much being grandfathered in under what's sporting not to fight tyrrany.
I always question the audacity of these people that feel that opinion can just change the Bill of rights but it has and is being done.

heres the problem with this. if they ask for all this stuff and the list gets cut in half they still get WAY more than what they should. this isnt a silver lining at all. the true problem should be addressed and guns arent the problem.

The local law enforcement will have record of your purchase of a pistol but I doubt they would have record of any long arms you have purchased.

RCW 9.41.110

(9)(a) A true record in triplicate shall be made of every pistol sold, in a book kept for the purpose, the form of which may be prescribed by the director of licensing and shall be personally signed by the purchaser and by the person effecting the sale, each in the presence of the other, and shall contain the date of sale, the caliber, make, model and manufacturer's number of the weapon, the name, address, occupation, and place of birth of the purchaser and a statement signed by the purchaser that he or she is not ineligible under RCW 9.41.040 to possess a firearm.

     (b) One copy shall within six hours be sent by certified mail to the chief of police of the municipality or the sheriff of the county of which the purchaser is a resident; the duplicate the dealer shall within seven days send to the director of licensing; the triplicate the dealer shall retain for six years.
