9.3x62

This is a common chambering in many European game guns.  Does anyone have one and if so what is your opinion of the cartridge.  I would like to have a Drilling when I win the lottery in 16/16/9.3 x 62.  I prefer it over the 9.3 x 74 because you can form the brass out of '06 cases.

If you win the lottery the 9.3x74 would be a better round in the drilling due to the rimmed case and if you win the lottery I don't think you have to worry about saving a couple of bucks on brass.  Anyway it won't be long until 30-06 brass is banned because it is a millitary round just kidding.  I shoot a 35 Whelen and it is very close in power to the 9.3x62 the advantage if there is any is that you can get 286 and 300 grain bullets, where the Whelen is limited to 250's unless you've had it twisted faster when you built it.

There are alot of drillings out there in 9.3x72 which is very close in power to the old winchester 38-55. I used one for control work in the 60's, two barrels of buckshot and the rifle and we were good for just about anything we were working on out to 200yards

I have a pre-war drilling in 16x16x 9.3, but I don't know which one it is. One of these days I'll get off my lazy butt and slug the chamber.
 All of the 9.3s are cool, major energy.

I got a 9.3 x 62, it is a great round.  IMO it kills quicker than my .338 mag.  My father in law had a drilling in 9.3 x 72, not the 74.  It is about 30-30 level. 

The 62 is not real flat shooting but under 200 yards it is about all I will ever need in North America.

I've always wanted a 9.3x62. Every time I get close to buying one i get distracted by something else. 9.3mm is the only bore diameter I've never owned. I've had pretty much every other common diameter in some form or another. Maybe I'll put together a bolt action pistol in 9.3x62 just to have something different.

I believe that Grice guns had a run of Savage 110 built in 9.3x62, they have orange stocks.

I've seen those before. That stock is a little over the top for me.

A CZ 550 in 9.3x62 would be pretty fun.
