can you swap mil-spec stock with standard stock

My buddy wants to know if the threads are the same on a mil spec and standard stock so he can switch it from one gun to the other.

For the adjustable AR buttstock you have commercial and mil tube. Commercial has a larger diameter and will not fit in a mil stock. But a commercial stock will work with a mil tube it will be a little loose.

Yeah. We want to take the whole mil spec tube off and put commercial on it can we do that?

Sure you can move the whole assembly from lower to lower.
