Shoulder Holster Suggestions for 4" XD .45?
« on: January 02, 2013, 02:00:37 PM »
Let me have 'em. I want a shoulder holster. I've already got a summer carry Galco that I like. But I want something under my jacket for the winter-time.

I've used the cheaper uncle mikes ones a bit.  I used to have one for a similiar sized .40 and it worked for me.  I haven't used any others so I can't in all honesty say that it's the best option out there but they are reasonably priced at least.

Thanks JB. I'd love to find a local guy who does nice leather ones, but may have to fall back on the Mike's.

I have a Galco Miami Classic for my Kimber Ultra Carry that is nice and rides really well wear it hunting sometimes and concealed occasionally. Nice thing about them is they are gun specific and they have one for the XD 4" also the double clip holder helps balance the rig too.   :twocents:

I use the galco classic lite not as nice as the miami classic but at half the price its a good option and works well for my dads cz 75 and my kimber eclipse. My girlfriend also just bought one for her ss mod 60 357 lady smith.

It appears they don't have a model for the SA .45 in any size.

I bought a quality leather unit for my .44 from Diamond D out of Wasilla, AK. Might be worth a look-see.

Wouldn't the XD 9/40 4" be the same for the 45? is the outside of the gun that much different for 45?

Galco makes great holsters, especially for the price!

Remember once you decide on a holster, check Amazon (especially if you have a Prime account) Amazon has some good prices on the holsters they sell.
