Sorry im postem my deer so late. IM the one on the left, october 20th after a sad okanogan hunt, I knocked him down in Port Angles. He is my 3rd buck and im 15 started when I was 11. 126yd shot with my 30-06 he was walkin kinda fast and it was quick on the scope. I saved the hide and i have tanned it my self. soon i will get some pics of that.
Lets go, we got fish to catch on the boondocks!!!

Very nice .... I noticed you gut a deer like I do  :tup: I never cut them up to the brisket until I get it hanging ....keeps alot of dirt out while dragging it !! good job !

Nice job young man! what did you use to tan the hide?

5gallon of warm water 2.5 cups of salt and 1 pound of alum powder, let stand for 4 days, then rince good with fesh water. tack the hide and let dry out for couple days. then use neats foot oil formula with salt and 3 ounce of alum powder to give it a nice leather touch
Lets go, we got fish to catch on the boondocks!!!

 :Is the salt premixed in the neatsfoot oil formula or do u add it? And how much salt?  My husband is asking thanx.
