SHOTSHOW 2013
« on: January 19, 2013, 10:06:15 AM »
Shot show report #2--
There is a lot of talk going around with the presidents proposal. Many people were actually surprised the executive orders did not halt the immediate import of firearms and Ammunition built outside the us. This supply line is still open, however, it could come at anytime. Demand has increased 10 fold over the last day. 22lr ammo tripled in price overnight on the retail market. Currently, manufacturers such as federal, Dpms, del-ton, rock river, and Winchester have stopped taking orders FOR THE YEAR. There appears to be a mad scramble to increase capacity. Most of our orders were placed on the day Obama. Got re-elected and those orders are still standing so we should be able to keep a somewhat steady flow of stuff coming into the stores, however, our stock inventory is going to continue to look very light. We will bre able to keep up with some of the ar-15 demands using some of the premium manufacturers including nemo ( thier 300 win mag ar is incredible), Noreen (338 lapua ar), black rain, and ambush firearms. The days if the $800 ar-15 are over for the foreseeable future. Parts and components for firearms are also non existent As all product is being designated for production of complete rifles. On the upside, we haven100 ar-15 bolt carrier groups bcgs, hitting the Wenatchee store on Friday or Monday. We have also confirmed 500k of 30 ar-15 magazines coming in from Korea. They are going to be on the expensive side at around $50 but if you want some, give the store a call and preorder. More to come later.

Ps - someone Asked me about the celebrities who were trending, here is the list that i have run into so far: Ted nugent, the guys from duck commander, lee and Tiffany, stone cold Steve Austin, Lou ferigno, Jesse James, they guys from Orange County choppers, brittney boddington, Jeff fox worthy, the gunny, survivorman, bear grylls, the cast from gold rush, and a few others. Yep, it's been fun!  :)

Did you miss Jesse Jane? I stumbled into her at PF Changs. It was fun to be in town during the AVN awards!

I've been wondering, as far as keeping up with demand on all the guns and ammo, seems like the bottleneck is going to be raw materials, like brass, copper, lead and aluminum. Do you know how those supplies are holding up?

Did not see her. But was mostly too busy to be looking! Have seen a huge rush in powder last week with more demand this week so far in bullets and primers.  :)
