Security / Trail cam stolen
« on: January 26, 2013, 07:37:46 PM »
Just to vent ... about a month ago I was doing a weekly check on my property, that I had not visited for a few weeks because we had our first baby come almost 3 months too early, and found we had been broken into. We had a car and pickup that was broken into and some parts stolen. I took me about 2 more weeks till I mounted a trail cam near by. Today, after a few weeks of the cam sitting there, I cam to switch out the SD cards and the cam was gone.
All in all, what I have learned from this experience is... steal what ever you want from me, I can replace it, loved ones I can not. Also I wouldn't mind releasing my frustrations on some punk robbing me and my family.

I bring a ladder with and mount my cam's a least 10 feet high. I have not lost one that is mounted high, but I have had a few taken that were mounted lower. The people also do not seem to spot the cameras. I did get a good picture of a guy being escorted off my property by fish and game officers. He received a nice trespassing and fishing violation ticket.

I'd like to see that picture! That's got to be one of the best non-animal trail camera pics taken!
