Chokes?
« on: January 27, 2013, 09:04:21 AM »
Looking to upgrade my choke situation. Have a modified now. That didn't work out so well last year. I was looking on cabelas at full, turkey extra full, and turkey super full chokes. Was wondering what you guys use/think?

Thanks

I use the black diamond strike choke tube made by Indian creek. I used a remington super turkey full, Primos jelly head, and settled on the black diamond strike as it had by far the best pattern out of my shotgun with Hevi Shot Hevi13. Try a few as each gun is going to be different.

Google "Gobbling Thunder".  Great chokes, have used them for years.  All the chokes will work, but like anything quality wise, you get what you pay for.

I have been using the HeviShot turkey tube with really good results. It patterns much better than the factory tube and has incredible patterns from 30-65 yards. Give one a try.
