I've used Doug for my archery tuning etc and have known him for over 20 years. He's not a salesman like most others. He tells it like it is whether or not that's what you want to hear. He's honest and knowledgeable. Not many around these days under the same business name with the experience Doug can offer at Great Northwest Archery.

Make the drive to Rainier to see Craig at Fletchsetter if you have the time. You won't regret it.

GNW is not a friendly place. and is especially rude to new archers.  I know first  hand, and I have heard the stories after sending people there in the past.  Not sure if it was the Doug guy everyone is talking about, but I know the guy didn't seem to care much about my business. Denton at Rock Creek Archery in Enumclaw does a good job tuning, and makes great strings.  I would take it there first.

I have had nothing but good experience and quality service from Doug at GNW. It sounds like the issue for some folks is not the quality of work he does but his personality.
