Eagle Lakes
« on: February 06, 2013, 12:58:17 PM »
Anybody on this site ever used to be a member of the Eagle lakes fishing club out of Othello before it became a high dollar event? Just curious because I miss those days, and I was wondering what kinda fish they used to catch outta there.

I know a guy who's fished Eagle Lakes, he said they caught lots of smallmouth and walleye. One of the walleyes was in the 9lb range. That was a few years ago.
Fish hard, hunt harder!

lots of nice bass and walleye. Some of the walley there are even known to hit a zara spook or buzzbait on the top at times. Some good quality fish too!

Ya, we were members for quite a few years.  It was the best  fishing I have ever been a part of.  Too bad they switched to deep pockets and no year memberships anymore.

I was a member back in the 80's. They would stock some of the lakes with rainbow. We fished mainly for bass-perch-crappie. Back then walleye were few and far between. I guess Sand Lake is the best for walleye. Lots of rattlesnakes too.Good times back then. I also went goose and duck hunting at Eagle Lakes. My boss would get free guided trips and then he would give the trips to his foremen. The good ole days.

We always did best in big eagle for walleye.  Most people will never see that quality of fishing for walleye in their life.  50 fish days between two people with walleyes up to 10 would happen.

I took my boat out once with a member, fishing was awesome. Largemouth, smallmouth, and walleye. It was a fun place and WAS worth the fee 15 years ago.

That day that I was refering to  we were casting Bill Dance fat free shad's to the bank and caught upwards of 10 walleye all over 8 pounds. That place was pretty unreal towards the end.

I caught a walleye on the kettle river years ago with a dry fly.   Smacked it like a big bow.   I'd never believe it if I hadn't done it.    Sounds like you might be able to do this at this place with a fast strip.   8)

I agree with this quote except when it is directed at me. You can ask LIMBHANGERSTROKER though for what it's worth. He'll probablly deny it though cause he got outfished that day. If I remember right a huge thunderhead rolled in the late afternoon and pushed us off the water.
