I use the CCI 250 Large Rifle Mag. primers in ALL my rifle reloading from Quick Draws .243 to my .240 Weatherby Mag., .30/30 and my .30-06's.

As long as you work up the load with that primer and use that primer every time you load it your golden but I would not use an other brand of mag primer in a already worked up load. I.e. load is using a fed215 and ya switch to a cci250  you may get a pressure spike and damage you or your gun.

They are all going to be different, even per lot with the same manufacturer.  In my experience they don't make that much (if any) difference in velocities.  I don't worry and use them interchangeably (.223) but I don't load on the ragged edge either.

Right.  It is always important to look for signs of over pressure and know what to look for.  Every chamber is different and is going to have its quirks and will even change over time.  Magnum primers make a minimal amount of difference.

Back a few months ago when you could still find some primers, I got a kick out of it that there would be no standard small pistol or small rifle primers but there would be bricks of magnums next to the empty space.  I would just buy the magnums and reduce my load by .1-.2 grains (which is the deviation of my powder funnel anyway, so what does it matter?).

I use the CCI 200 large rifle in most everything except the 7mm Rem mag. I tend to stick to what the book says, have had great success reloading following that plan. Even with the shortage, I will stick it out to get the supplies I am use to using instead of changing up my pet loads.
