Looking for 2002-2004 Lund Laker
« on: February 26, 2013, 09:08:01 PM »
This is the ideal boat for the fishing that I do. I have been looking for one of these boats for almost a year and have only found a few for sale. And of course they are sold when I call on them. If any of you know where on is for sale let me know. Thanks.

Lunds are great boat until the rivits start leaking which they all do eventually. get a welded boat and your worries will be few

Why not just buy a welded Lund?  Not every Lund is rivited.

Lunds are great boats. I've seen plenty of Lunds take plenty of abuse in the walleye tourneys on the columbia and hear no complaints. We fish out of a welded crestliner and a welded Triton (Crestliner hull) and my next boat is either going to be a Lund Pro-Guide or Crestliner Pro-Tiller, whichever I find the best deal on. I haven't paid much attention to the welded linds but I've never heard much bad about their rivets either. Several friends of mine have lunds that are over 20 years old and never had rivet problems.

Good luck wih your search!

The reason I like this particular model is because the boat is 17' long and 81" wide. You cant find a boat that wide and stable unless you get a 20' or longer guide special. And the dry weight on the Lund Laker is only 650 lbs.
