I would borrow my black jack decoy and just use a rabbit in distress or anything else in distress like you would do for coyote and wait to see.  I don't think bears are that picky when hungry.  Most say to call mostly steady for an hour or a hair more.

The blackjack looks so good Ieven want to eat it.  It moves erratically and doesnt look like any one animal in particular, but it definitely gathers attention.  You should see our dog look at it.

So...my plan Sunday is to still hunt a blind I've got set up. I'll be packing my bow and my 870. My "killing field" is not very big. I will be setting up a caller on the far side from me and using a fawn distress. If a bear comes in the plan is to stick 'em. If a yote comes in the plan is to blast him with the 12. Any suggestions on calling duration for the fawn distress?
1 1/2 hours. Good luck. I think you might see more bears by glassing from high points and coveringmore ground. Unless you already have the bear located :twocents:

Just looking at the regs. Monroe spring bear tag is a portion of gmu 448. Can someone throw up a link to the exact boundries? Maybe the map? Im wondering where the monroe/skagit boundry is.

Right now the bears are just feeding on fresh green grass shoots to jump start there digestive system. You may have fun shooting coyotes but doubt you'll have any bears coming in........especially when they hear a 12 ga go off and coyotes yelping :chuckle:
