High Country Blacktail
« on: October 03, 2008, 11:55:25 PM »
I found this nice deerski in the high country scouting for elk this summer. He lives 5 hours from the road I think he is regressing from old age his 1s and 2s are just a big blade no forks and he had killer mass. I also threw in a nice bull i was watching.

Nice!  That would be a great buck to tag - love the mass and character.

I like the mass on that buck. He looks a lot like a buck i took a pic of, in mass and height. I like the pic of the bull too. Thats a good looking area.

Nice pics! That buck is somethin! Look at the size of his body... My dad has a blacktail rack he found behind the family farm when he was about 12 (50 years ago). Reminds me of that a little. It's a funky wide 2-point with crazy mass that obviously died of old age... I'll have to take some pics of it someday. Thanks for sharing!
