Phelps reeds
« on: March 13, 2013, 08:50:17 PM »
I want to get one of Jason's mouth reeds. What one would you guys recommend? The drangon slayer, commander, satellite seducer, or the pleading hot reed? I normally hunt up in forks and I am pretty much a newb at calling if that helps.
Thanks guys!

If you only want one call, I would go with the elk commander (I have modified the design slightly) and it works well for everything.

The dragon slayer is straight big bull sounds.

I can also make you some lighter calls that will be easy to learn on.

These two bulls didn't like the Dragon Slayer as much as you guys do  :chuckle:

If I could only carry two calls it would be a Sig Series (all around) and a Dragon Slayer.

Dragon slayer is a good call ,used it last season called in a 6x7 and 6x6 and a few smaller bulls. It worked well on both sides of the state.

I wanted to try these out, but the Phelps guy did not return my 2 PMs. So unless a retail store start to carry them; I guess I am on the outs. :dunno:

Skywalker I just went back through My Pm's and the only one i got from you is one about elk hunting an area and questions on elk calls (« Sent to: JPhelps on: January 29, 2013, 12:23:17 AM ») and I responded to those questions.  Maybe with the site acting up the PM's didn't go through.

Let me know what you want in a PM or email (phelpsgamecalls@yahoo.com) and I will send some payment instructions   I apologize and always do my best to respond to everyone.
