Power Pot

What say you all?

Thermoelectric cooking pot, can charge your cellphone and stuff while you cook your meal.   I could see this being used in a lot of situations, camp fire, buried coals, power outages charging on a woodstove etc

It's cool and all, but when in the great outdoors I won't need it!

Might be good for recharging camera/gps/radio batteries on an extended trip, if it is powerful enough.  I didn't check the specs.  Someone makes a little cookstove that does this as well.

ya, the biolight

I was thinking this cookpot might be usable in more ways and has more power output

biolight is 2w wheras the powerpot is 5w,  but in looking the biolight might be the same output at peak.

The website says that is charges a phone in about 2 hours just like a wall charger and the heat needs to be centered on the pot so that makes campfires doable but a bit problematic.  You would have to have a 55 gal drum of fuel for an extended trip.  I like the idea but just don't think the technology is there just yet.
