Winchester 670?
« on: March 16, 2013, 09:06:12 PM »
I have a chance to pick up a Winchester 670 for about 150 bucks.  I have not seen it yet but I am told that the bluing is all worn off, but the stock is in great shape.  I looked on Gunbroker and it just does not seem to have been a real popular gun.  What can you guys tell me about them?  Is it worth the money?
There's a reason they call it hunting, not killing.

I have no experience with the gun but it looks like the asking price on gunbroker from dealers start about 500.  So in poor condition cosmetically but fully functional I would say that 150 is a great deal.   :twocents:

Thanks, I picked it up and it is really rough.  Someone took sandpaper to the bluing.  :bash:  It will take allot of work to get it looking right.
