Free, low memory sucking - video editing software?

Anyone know of any? I dont need anything fancy, just something to splice videos together and add some background tunes.
One touch of nature makes the whole world kin.

I use sony vegas movie studio. It does a pretty good job and is easy to use. Vegas video is a little better but more money.

Just saw it said free. I have never tried any of the free ones but movie studio its pretty cheap
