I have had mine for about 5 years and love it.
XD 40 Sub compact.. Very good shooter, dependable and concealable.
The only thing I didnt like was the Junk chit they sent with it..The Holster, mag carrier are junk.
The gun is not.

If this is the little Sub Compact 45 they have great reviews! Id like to try one out! I have the Shield 40 but never got to try the XDS. Since I load for both calibers I kinda want one too.

I played with one today. I really with it was about 1/2" longer and it would be perfect.

If we were supposed to be vegetarian God would have made broccoli more fun to shoot!
"HOYT" why would you even consider shooting something else?

I've had mine about a month and put about 100 rounds through it. Really like it. Easy to shoot and doesn't punish too bad being a short light 45.
Here is my first 2 clips out of it at 15 yards off hand.

I really wish Springfield had called it something other than XDS, it would have avoided so much confusion.

I enjoy mine. My wife says she doesn't mind the recoil but doesn't like the grip. Too rough on those tender hands:)

I love my XDS. One of my favorite firearms. I do hate the holster it came with. Has anyone found a good holster for these? I prefer OWB leather and as minimal as possible in size.

Look for a 3" 1911 leather holster they are very close in size and shape. My 3" ultra carry fits the xds holster all to well

I have a small Galco leather holster for my 3" 1911. I love that holster and it fits my full size 1911 awesome too. I didn't think about seeing if it would fit the XDS. So I tried and it didn't fit  :bash: :bash: Not even close really. I was hoping it would have. Thats exactly what I'm looking for for the XDS.

What holster do you have?

I have a Galco king tuk for a 1911 and my XDS fit it. Not perfect, but it does fit.
