Mystery Ranch Metcalf
« on: March 31, 2013, 09:45:23 PM »
Saw that some people had used this on another thread but didn't want to jack the thread.  I am looking at either this pack or the Stone Glacier... just cant decide.  I may go on a pretty long backpack hunt in September, and worry the Metcalf my be not quite enough space.  I have heard they NICE frame doesn't ride well if you are taller, any truth to this?  Any opinions?
I would rather be a conservative nut job, than a liberal with no nuts, and no job!

Cant say for either packs but it seems that stone glacier and kifaru are really taking over the hunting back packing market with light weight functional gear. The metcalfs are fairly new but I know most of the other MR packs didnt have very functional load lifter which can be huge, and there pretty dang heavy compared to the other two. Still a bomb proof back but I'd look into the other two myself, once I come up with the money im going with the Kifaru bikini or SG.
