cowlitz possibly closing for springers?
« on: April 11, 2013, 05:50:49 PM »
So yesterday I was at one of my favorite fishin holes and the bio came by to check us. We bs with her for awhile about how the nets did and how many fish she checked and the usual stuff. Then shesaid that the count at the damn was very low and that they were actually kicking around closing the cowlitz for springers until the number come up. She said there has only been like 12 at the damn. Has anyone else heard this?

I've been hitting springers on the cowlitz every trip since the 1st. I wouldn't say its good or decent...but there are definitely fish finally moving through the system.

I've been thinking of taking my sled on the cowlits, but I've never fished it for salmon. Any advice on where and how to fish it?
