Rockchuck Derby
« on: March 03, 2013, 12:09:18 AM »
Now that the coyote challenge is over, ( by the way great job to the teams) getting ready to put the smack down on a few rockchucks. We head down to Bliss Idaho and join in on the 3 to 4 day HannahBatesRockchuckDerby.com , which has been held 5 years in a row. Its a great time and all money goes to the charity, and we get lots of trigger time in. The Derby is the last weekend of April, the area is really greening up down there but the snakes aren't out yet, good thing.  Tons of BLM land all around the area and the Town of Bliss is very happy to have tourist dollars being spent so consequently they are pretty easy to get along with  ;). It has a variety of shooting distances from 10 yards to 1500 yds so get your 17 hmr and your 338 lapua out and dial them in, bring lots of ammo and help out the local farmers from being over run. Its a ways to go from Spokane area but well worth the trip, also we've been getting in some practice shooting in this last year on life size steel targets, out at the Sportsmanschallenge.weebly.com shoots, great time for all. :bfg:

I think Linda, Earl & I are heading out to the Rock Chuck Derby about 8:30 on April 23.  Bliss Idaho Here We Come.   Maybe we can get in the 1000 yd club this year. Maybe we will see some of you there this year !!!!!       bionicbob
