Moultrie M-990i : clicking noise
« on: April 09, 2013, 06:56:06 AM »
I just picked up a Moultrie M-990i and while stepping it up and running some tests, I found that it clicks fairly loud. I can hear it from over ten feet away. Has anyone else run into this problem on a 990i? And does anyone out there have a 990i that doesn't click? What I trying to determine: is my 990i a bad camera or is the 990i a bad camera? My other Moultrie camera(DGS-200,no longer made) worked flawless for over 6 years. Also anyone out there with a Moultrie M-880, does it click?

Have you listened to it take pictures in the dark? Mine only click when it's dark.

Was checking out reviews of this camera to possibly buy.

Supposed to be a software update coming to reduce the clicking to just twice a day after transition at dusk and dawn. Also supposed to fix the video zoom issue.

Check the Moultrie website.
