I don't have the patience for the primitive weapons hunting. The 12 gauge 3-1/2" mags. are pretty effective against such dangerous game, just inconvenient having to get the tractor out to fix the yard.  :chuckle:

Do you just sit and watch for them surfacing?

That's what i did then when the dirt mound started to rise i pounced with the shovel like i was diggin for a clam the old fashioned way and then when he flopped up on the dirt the flat bladed shovel got a mind of its own and 1 mole became 2 pieces of mole..Kinda cool actually.. Dropped him into the hole for his friends to see what's up if they too choose to hang out. 8) They're destructive as heck

As an official measurer for a number of record keeping organizations, I am guessing you've got a B&C qualifier there.  Nice work.  The dedication and follow through is exemplary.  PM me after the 60 day drying period and we'll get him entered  :chuckle:

I would advise against this method, a freind of my dads blew up his house with this method, the gas made it's way into the basement and found the pilot light for the furnace,ka boom, blew all the windows out.

I want to try the propane and oxygen down the tunnel, followed by a little flame.  I heard about that and visualized the mole going out of sight over the neighbor's house.  I'd probably try it on the neighbors lawn first though.
