My opening day sucked
« on: April 17, 2013, 12:44:33 AM »
Myself and a friend were sitting in the blind opening morning up on some powerlines. We started to hear them gobble about 515 we see them fly off the roost and land about 100 yards or so up the skid road. I called one the toms were going nuts gobbling at me and strutin their stuff and they start walking toward us (tom and a few hens) my gun is up and ready they are coming in pretty fast I can hear a motor in the distance and its getting louder all of a sudden with the birds now about 65 yards now and VROOOM this guy on a quad wearing just regular clothing flys past us scaring off the birds my decoy now tumbling down the lines fell over when he flew by. I wanted to shoot his tires out. I talked to a few other hunters they said that guy does this quite often to scare the birds back into his field(thinks their his pets and feeds them) he drives up and down his fence line on the state land side to get them down in valley where is field his. :bash: :bash: :bash:

First I thought it was illegal to harrass hunters.  Illegal to harrass wildlife with his quad.  Illegal feed wildlife.  Much as I hate to say maybe someone should let the gamies know so they pay him a visit.

I would be more than glad to talk to the gamies. You did not mention where this activity is going on. If this all is true than yes,. than yes it needs to be reported. Let me know, I have friends in the dept.

I also have several game warden friends.  It's either that or put out the spike strips ....
