Monster Blacktail (for you Bucklucky)
« on: May 07, 2013, 10:02:32 PM »
I posted a crappy pic in the big blacktail thread  but I said when I got around to it I would get some better pics.  When my grandfather downsizes houses he is giving it to me and Charlie will be re-doing the mount.  171 4/8 net.

yes it was shot in washington around 1925.  Eatonville area to be exact.  It was my great uncle Jack who shot the buck and it sat in the shed for a decade or so and not sure when the mount was done.  My grandpa seems to think that one of my uncles may have mounted it in the early 60's when they were tinkering with taxidermy.  I wish I knew more details on this dude but those old boys didn't pay much attention to the antlers back in those days.

Wow, wow, wow...

Heck of a buck Karl.

My brother told me that they got your ink backwards?? I laughed pretty hard at that story!!

Hopefully you tag out early and can make it down for the bachelor party? It should be a blast, there's gonna be a lot of fishing and drinkin.

I can't even imagine seeing a blacktail that size, let alone having it in my crosshairs. Amazing

That buck is ridiculous...

Can't wait to see Charlie bring it back to life.
