MWHUNTER- those are so fun, nice ones. Do you fish for salmon too? I was looking for info about sockeye above Brewster, they are not in the regs this year! Last year it was awesome with almost 1/2 million fish.
A smart dog will bring 2 beverages to save a trip to the fridge!

theres a possibility that there wont be one the tribe wants to keep all the sockeye for the tribe members and no more retaining wild fish and your only aloud 2 hatchery fish

I think it's a little different than that.  The Canadians are wanting to allow more sockeye to go up different tributaries once in Canada to build and expand the sockeye numbers in the future years, thus needing more fish up there this year to to get things going.  Might be a bad year for our sockeye fishing now, but could be really good in later years.

Also, from what I've heard, the run won't be close to what it was the last couple years, more like 80,000.  Who knows though, as I've seen thiese projections be way off.

Nice smallies! Got one the other day had to be around 5lbs(didnt weigh it) but it fought like a whale.
