what kind of lube?
« on: May 17, 2013, 12:17:58 PM »
When you go to Kesselring's, what kind of lube do you prefer they use when they bend you over the counter at check out time?

kesselrings prices have always been steep, but in the last year (and since Wholesale has disappeared) they are starting to price gouge worse than ever. you would think that they would  pass some savings on to their customers with the recent boom in ammo hoarding- since its the customers that are keeping their shelves empty.

Kesselrings has a wide variety of lube in stock and on the shelves, (although it might be over priced) RCBS, Redding, Dillon, and my personal favorite: Hornady One shot are all available. Just make sure you pick up a can before you head to the register.  :chuckle:  Or better yet. If you don't like their prices.  Don't shop there.  :twocents:

Novel Idea.

 I try not to unless I am in a bind. I make it up there about once a year and thats enough to remind me why they don't get my business.

A local, Family owned business stocks an item you need, but the item costs more than from an online or big box store?       We should Boycott them!    :chuckle:

Family ownded local businesses need to have a high level of customer service to offset the price difference compared to the box stores or online. From my visits if you are not a local and/or regular you get treated poorly.

Saturdays are not the day I prefer to go there, too many customers and not enough staff.  Hit them up on a Monday through Friday and its day and night :twocents:

I get annoyed or treated poorly by the staff from time to time. (much less often now that I only go on weekdays)  I continue to shop there because I want to support local business and because they usually have what I need.  If I have to pay a little more for components or ammo instead of driving to Tulalip, or ordering online from out of state I will.

I agree.....I have a local gun shop very close to work. I try and buy there and am good with the couple dollars here and there. However....they provide me good service.

good customer service goes a long way in my book and is worth paying a premium for, I haven't found it at K-rings yet. there have been multiple times where I have had adequate customer service from them. More often than not they give me the impression I am wasting their time by wanting to exchange my money for their goods.

I really do not feel compelled to support a local business nor do I feel its my responsibility especially when they aren't going the extra mile for the customer or offering outstanding deals or are at least consistently pleasant. with the economy being the way it is and gas prices climbing I can't afford to pay for a bad deal locally when I could get a much better one online and have the product dropped at my door.

Skagit arms ain't any better on the customer service, even when you know exactly what you want AND the SKU order number and have cash in hand for a deposit on a BOLT ACTION PLAIN JANE HUNTING RIFLE.

If you know what you want,I've used a FFL dealer that I found who has EXCELLENT customer service,Federal Police Supply.

I have also had very poor customer service there. I always feel like I am a burden to them when I go in and need help with anything.

I contacted skagit arms and I was wanting to order a basic model Remington 700 and they said that it was not worth their time to order it in.
