post removed re: permit drawing
« on: May 30, 2013, 08:03:42 AM »
I have posted two threads on this topic.  One was a couple months ago regarding spring bear permits and second was yesterday regarding permit results from WDFW.   Both of these threads were removed.  I was wondering if anyone could tell me the reason so I can post in the correct location.
thank you, joe

The one you posted yesterday was "merged" into the other dozen or so that were started. Go into your profile and look at your posts. It's still there. Not uncommon to do that when there are several threads started on exactly the same topic. The draws did not happen, so the dozen or so duplicate threads that were started were either merged or deleted.
Hope that helps.

I looked at your last posts and couldn't find anything regarding bear permits but I did find a multiseason thread started in the Recycle. I
suspect that was deleted for the same reason...a topic that was likely already covered.

Thanks

I was the one doing most of the deleting.  There was a barrage of new posts, and there was one very active thread already going.  No one was reading what was on the forum, they were all jumping to be the first to post about the draw results.  All these folks would chime in with either their not selected or something similar.   I was trying to get them fresh before multiple conversations about the same thing would ensue.  I'd then send a pm to that person and a link to the big topic, explaining the deletion.   You cant imagine how many there were.   I wanted to keep the conversation mostly in one sport versus 20+ nonsensical threads.    I don't have all day to be sitting on here babysitting.   Your post came later and it was thoughtfully merged into the mega thread by another moderator.   Sorry for the confusion.
