I hate the taste of piss in my Cheerios.  :chuckle: On a positive note, I have hunted the Coweeman/Winston area for the last 4 years. I know the area fairly well and if I drew the Jan 1-15 tag then I know exactly where I'll be on opening morning. Last year was very frustrating out there. I saw less animals and more hunters than ever before. Stay away from the clearcuts is all I can say. Get back into the timber surrounding the clear cuts and it will cut down on the pumkins by 75%. During that late hunt, then post up on the clear cuts. It worked out in the past. I'm excited, can't wait.
I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I'm not!

I just called and confirmed that I have a cow tag. Still not sure which one, Coweeman or Winston.

Hey now, it's big mamma or nothing!

Is it too early to start my cow elk hunting log? It's only 6 months till the season starts.

That hardly seems fair, you got an extra day!  :chuckle:   I was close anyway. That extra day shouldn't matter, it's probably only going to be a 1 or 2 day hunt if it's like years past.
