I never understood why an expandable broad head that is more lethal therefore a more humane and  quicker death would be illegal. Maybe they worry about them failing.

Supposedly its to level the playing field with traditional archers, but it won't change the effective range or make the deer come to you so I don't see how it does.  I think if it doesn't affect the spirit of fair chase then it should be allowed one mans choice in equipment shouldn't affect my ability to chose equipment.
Now then, get your equipment—your quiver and bow—and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me.  Gen. 27:3

because crusty old fogeys like me have spent years learning how to make fixed blades shoot straight.  if it was good enough for my grandpappy and good enough for my pops and me, dad-gum-it, its good enough for you kids too.  and i had to learn it, so you should too.  it will make you a better hunter.
How long til elk season?!??
