Run and gun isn't my style, (I quit IPSC in the early 80's), but what is the course of fire? Rifle and handgun rules? Qualifying round? Garanteed shoot time? Trips through the course? Pre-run?

Great questions Jack.

Cash prizes for placements 1st, 2nd, 3rd Etc?    16 x 25.00= 400.00. Everyone understands the fun of it all but the cash is always the game changer.

Might have to try to make it over for this at some point in the future... What's the max yardage for precision rifle?

There is also a precision/practical rifle course that runs here on the west side the 1st sat of the month... But no pistol shooting.

Jack, there are 2 stages. Stage one: engage 2 plate racks with pistol, move to vehicle cover and with rifle, engage VIP scenario, then shots out to 850 yards.
Stage two: With rifle engage 5 targets from obstacle, sling rifle, enter ravine and engage pistol targets along a 100 yard course using a minimum of 100 rounds of pistol ammo.
Participants get an over view of the course from the rim of the ravine, and same for the VIP stage.
One pass through for score.
With over $10,000.00 invested in AR 500 steel, hangers, and auto resting targets, then the  range fees, provided water and other necessities to provide a safe match environment, trailer to move targets to match locations, and storage for the target systems, insurances, competitors that don't pay for a number of reasons, hell next thing you know we are down to $300.00 for entry fees with a cost of over $1000.00 for this small match. Then there are the countless hours Volunteered to put this together. Why? Because we enjoy giving back to the shooting community as opposed to attacking those in this very community.
Tell you what landon, I'll cover your entry fee AND donate $500.00 to Camp Patriot if you come out and shoot in this match.

Jim, that sounds like a really interesting event.  I have never done anything like that before (and can't make it this time), but I will keep my eyes open for future events.  Thanks for posting.

Little sensative  there Jimmy?😉 You know we can't even be in the same room together, let along a match. That goes both ways, it's good where it's at. The rest is all talk. You enjoy your little shoot. It was a simple question, I know back in the day when we shot together you were all about the prize table or cash for placement.

It may not be safe to have you two around each other with loaded firearms  :twocents:

I for one would love to hear the backstory to this  ;)

I have no problem shooting in a match with you landon.  Or being in the same room with you. Come on up and shoot. If you win, I'll even give you ALL the entry fees from the match and send the check for $500.00 to Camp Patriot. It's a win win for you and we can bury the bad blood you seem have between us.
