New to me
« on: July 05, 2013, 03:05:43 PM »
Ive been introduced to a couple of new things this summer. First, I had hamburgers marinated in Balsamic Vinegar. Friggin delicious! Gotta try it. Then, I had ribs cooked in a red wine/balsamic sause. They were in the crock pot and finished on the grill. The meat fell off the bone. Second, Ive had my first Shandy. I loved it. For those who dont know, a shandy is your favorite light beer mixed with citrus soda. The other way was with your favorite ale with splash of orange juice. Delicious stuff! So what has been new to you folks this summer? 1,2,3...GO!

I also got introduced to the shandys. Yumm. Not usually my style of beer, but man...they are good.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Since my youngest graduated HS, Baseball season is over for him/us.  Both boys have played sports since they were about 5yrs old.  We're not empty nester's just yet, but with no summer ball in our schedule, it has been a wierd adjustment to actually be home in the evenings and weekends. The honey-do list is getting shorter! It looks like as soon as the snows melt, I really will be able toget back into the high country and not sweat how long I stay there!
