I'm happy for all interest in this thread, I just hope we can put some bears on the ground and some pics on here. I feel pretty confident, but you never know. That's why they call it hunting. The good news for me is that everyone agreed to let my 14 yo son come along with us. He will be an observer, not a shooter. I'm always happy when he accompanies me on hunts. He's been through hunter safety, but he's not quite ready to pull the trigger yet. When he is ready the animals better watch out, he is a great shot! He is a natural. 7 days to go, I can't wait!

My wife just booked a room for her and my son Nathan at the Lake Quinault Resort for Friday and Saturday night, August 2 and 3. Looks like a nice place. I may have to slip down there for a shower or something. Check it out.

I stayed there with my family several years ago when we were on vacation out here.

I have called in a lot of different critters but never tried to call bears ....this is something I need to try ...Have someone run a video so you can capture some intense moments  I can not wait to see how this plays out ...GOOD LUCK to you guys and do not get eaten ....
