I'll be about as far west as you can get in the middle of the state and still hunt with an eastside tag. In fact I'll be able to hunt elk on my right, and black tail on my left, literally.
I spent last weekend deer hunting in the same area and we saw lots of elk sign, and no other hunters!!! Didn't see any animals though, and since this will be my first elk season I'm not holding my breath. Willing to listen to any advice, suggestions, or disparaging remarks.
