One less mouth to feed
« on: July 25, 2013, 06:47:46 PM »
The wife and kids are gone, I'm home alone with charcoal and bbq sauce and no meat and had a few beers so don't wanna drive to the store.  Sitting on my back porch thinking about what I can make and a big fat hen decides to take a poo on my freshly pressure washed back porch.  Decision made!  Anyone that knows my wife knows she love her birds but she also loves bbq chicken.  I'm hoping the good out weighs the bad when she gets home.  I'll post another pic when it's done.

Gotta admit the wife knows what she is doing with her birds.  This chicken had twice the meat as any store bought bird I've seen and is hormone free and free range.  Plus we ate her eggs for breakfast and those are good too.

You cooked up a laying hen!?    So what are you having for breakfast?
Depending on your wife it may be your goose that's cooked.   :chuckle:

It was one of the white ones she calls meat birds.  We have a bunch of other ones she gets our eggs from.  This one was past due imo but still under a year old.

Sounds to me like there is the possibility that you will be sleeping out in the hen house.
