Treestands?
« on: August 10, 2013, 04:58:29 PM »
I was thinking about going rifle elk hunting this year and I need to buy something to hunt in. Should I buy a treestand or a blind?

either one will work depends on how you want to set up? over water/wallow or over vegitation or trails, feilds?
i sat over a bunch of trails last year in a tree stand and shot an elk opening evening with my bow at 12 yards had no clue i was there. good luck

I agree with buckfvr; you can see further out of a tree but I also like to have a ground blind I can use to stay out of the weather when need be!

I own a couple of each and other than being able to see better I prefer a blind for every other reason.
