Smoked halibut

Has anyone done this ? I had a leftover fillet from last night and said what the heck. On the smoker now.

I have had smoked halibut and it was fantastic. It was from a smaller fish so it was very firm and flavorful. They guy that did it knew what he was doing and said he used a lighter smoke because halibut really aborbs smoke.

It has lots of flavor but a little dry. It will be an awesome snack for work tomorrow

I smoked sturgeon before and its awesome!! Never halibut tho

Hardest fish to smoke. Dries out so easily.

Never smoked it b4. I think it would be good in a cold smoker setting to get flavor. Then grill or fry it just a thought  ;)
