Our for-fathers screwed up on the treaty.   It should have stated that they had to use their primitive weapons of the time the treaty was signed.  And the same for the clothing.

I think that would have put a huge damper on their huntin

It's turned into an incredible slaughter if what I've been told is true. More and more bulls down, including in the no-hunting elk reserve in the Colockum.

I've heard a pretty incredible number of bulls were taken out of the Colockum herd already this year - but I don't know if that number is correct or not. If this keeps up, they're going to destroy that herd within a few years.

There WAS a lot of nice bulls up there in early September. I saw a lot of them. What a shame that they are all getting killed.  :(
I felt like a one legged cat trying to bury a terd on a frozen pond!

upper skagit res shot 7 MONSTER bulls in sedro last year.  i heard threw the grape vine that that they have shot 1/3 of the herd in the last two years.  i wanted to bow hunt that herd this year but when i heard that i said forget it.  if they ever get off the res here will only be jumpy skittish yearlings left.  not happy >:( >:(
