Corned bear, Sauerkraut, Swiss Cheese, 1000 Island Dressing and Rye Bread. Pretty tasty
Little motivation to fill those bear tags.

I've had some really good bear, not sure about the Ruben style.... but I would not be opposed to trying.

To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

How about corned bear? I haven't tried corned bear yet, but I will if I get one. Never thought of doing that. I've always have had pretty good tasting bears in the past, but they can be a little rich and heavy.

The butcher I used for my spring bear made me two corned bear roasts. We have only had one.....the best corned meat I've tried. It was salty and rich.......excellent. I put it in the crock pot with water, some seasoning, a chopped onion, some extra garlic, and a half bottle of beer.....it was awesome....whole family loved it and the next morning I had corned bear hash and eggs....

Never had Corned bear, I bet it is good. Have done corned goose and that is wonderful. I had my bear hams smoked like pork and it was something to die for.
