777 FFG or FFFG?

Any major differences between the 777 ffg or the fffg loose powder? Im shooting a knight bighorn .50cal.

The FFG and FFFG burn at different rates.  You will have to determine what is recommended for your weapon.

Like said faster burn rates. A lot of times you will see a difference in groups between the two with equal charge weights. fffg burns a little cleaner as well.

Better go to range and try 777. I know lots of folks who have trouble with it.

ffg works great in my traditions. But then again I'm brand new to muzzleloading.

FFG is whats is recommended for the bighorn. I shoot 120 grains 777 ffg with 245gr spitfires with musket caps ans have very good results.

2f is recommended most often for a 50 cal. ML because if the rate of burn.  I have shot both granulations a lot and when shooting a cap rifle I much prefer the 3f.  The smaller granulations ignite easier and burn cleaner.  The ease of ignition is important to me in the cold temperatures that I hunt in and the limited heat produced by Musket Caps or #11 Mag caps. For myself there is a very little difference in velocity or accuracy between the two powders...

Both of my MK's like the diet of T7-3f.  I shoot 110 grains, a 250 to 300 grain bullet, ignited with a Dynamit Noble RWS 1075+ cap for hunting and for target practice I use a CCI #11 Mag cap (they are less expensive and I like to shoot).
