Badger Mtn/ Douglas Co/ unit 266 bear pics.
« on: August 14, 2013, 11:55:58 AM »
Checked a camera on the place this morning and got some pics of this guy. I forwarded them to my neighbor and he said he got the same bear on one of his cameras 30 days ago.

Is he black or a color phase? Hard to tell with the night pics. Nice bear none the less.

I'm betting it's blonder than you guys think, so I'll say a light milky choclate with cinnamon accents. ;)

You know it! I planned on pileing up 10 or 12 past date Safeway cakes and then filming him being baited in. Then blow his scrawny a$$ away with the .450 Ultra. Then we were going to put it on YouTube and forward a GPS location and copy of the video to the Game Dept. Some people's children!  :bash: Guess I shouldn't shoot a Mulie if I can see farmer Joes cattle blocks/salt 721 yards away. Hahahaha! Some people have more time than I do.👍

Shoot a mulie licking a salt block...totally legal. Shoot a bear over salt, different story.

Even if bait is removed and a bear is shot in the same place, it is still considered baiting H20..

You could have just video'd it with a camera mounted to your bow. Would save you a bunch of time.

This I don't get. If you remove the bait, then 2 weeks later or a month later or whatever....you shoot a bear, is it still baiting?
Disclaimer... I have little interest in shooting a bear and little interest in hunting over bait.

I have no idea how long or how far. I have baited deer and of course had bears come in. I personallywaited a month after bait was depleted before going back with a bear tag. Ive never heard or seen where those questions are answered. I commented only so folks that may not think of salt as bait would get a heads up.
