Dont forget your tags!!!! I made sure that mine were tucked away in the truck weeks ago.  I forgot them 2 years ago...

Don't drink that jack the night before either.  One year I puked all the way up the hill in the am due to drinking Jack the night before the opener.  Oddly enough, I shot a nice 4X3.  Man that was hell packing that sucker hung over.

My theory is to just keep the jack flowing at a steady rate....not to little, not to much.....just a nice steady intake. I've got three tags that are all fair game with the bow. I've got plenty of time to do both.

Maybe i'll bring some fireball and a crap ton of beer.  Nothing hydrates you for packing out a cow like a half rack of busch.

I decided i'm not bringing a bow.

H20, On a rare occasion elk and deer have been taken by the person that stays in camp during the day.  It's happened in my deer camp a couple times.  One of our deer camp a certain member usually takes a day off mid hunt and just relaxes and then an animal walks right through camp with him in his lawn chair.  You to, could join that club... ;)

Geye..........how do they shoot camp critters during the day when they are sleeping off the bender from the night before? I'm nowhere near that seasoned.

Stang.......bring extra beer and of course some fireball. I'm bringing an extra bow.....you can use that. My BIL shot is last so I'm sure it is still sighted in.

D....it has only begun. I got a new bannana hammock for sleeping.

Sounds to me like that's going to be his only option.  Unless he and stang happen to run into elk while heading to town for more beer.

Replace water with Fireball, while making pancake batter.  Them's some good pancakes!!  The alcohol gets cooked off but the flavor remains!!

Didn't think today's work day was ever going to end but finally, 5 o'clock rolled around. Got most of my gear packed and ready to load Sunday morning, got all but 1 "honey-do" taken care of, I'll take care of that tomorrow night ;). Just have to go do some grocery shopping tomorrow and then its game on with all next week off.
A co-worker was working a couple miles from where I plan on setting up camp today and spent his lunch watching a herd of about 30 elk grazing in a large clearcut. Been a couple weeks since I've been up there, glad their still around.
 :)
